You pass hundreds of people in a week. A handful of them you notice, and almost none of them you ever speak to. Matuvu exists for that gap.
Why it exists
It lasts a second. You notice someone on the train, in a queue, at the gym you both go to every week, and by the time you have thought about saying something you are already somewhere else. Afterwards there is no way back to that person. They were real, they were right there, and now they are gone.
Matuvu keeps that moment available for a day. One photo, enough to recognise the face. If you both say you saw each other, you can talk. If not, it disappears and nothing is left behind.
What we decided
No ads
Nothing to sell against your attention, so nothing in the app is built to hold it.
Self-funded
We fund the app ourselves, so we set the roadmap and nobody asks us to reconsider the decisions on this page.
No data for sale
We do not sell it. Moments expire after 24 hours rather than becoming a record of your movements.
Built and hosted in Europe
Matuvu is built in Europe. Your data is hosted in the European Union by European providers, ensuring the highest standards of data protection and the respect of your privacy.
