These terms of service govern your use of our mobile application and the associated website.

1. Services provided

Matuvu provides a free mobile app that allows users to connect with others by showing a list of people they have crossed paths with. Users can mark others as "seen" and, if the interest is reciprocated, begin a conversation. Users are required to upload a photo of themselves. Our website serves as a landing page and is used for account signup only.

The service is hosted in France by OVHcloud (ovhcloud.com).

2. User responsibilities

As a user, you are responsible for:

  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Refraining from harassment, spamming, or engaging in illegal activities.
  • Not using the platform for advertising, self-promotion, or linking to external platforms (e.g., Instagram, OnlyFans, or similar services).
  • Being at least 18 years old to use our services.

We enforce a zero tolerance policy for objectionable content or abusive conduct.

3. User content

You retain all rights to the content you upload. By using our service, you grant Matuvu a non-exclusive, revocable license to display your content solely for the purpose of operating the service.

This license ends when your content is deleted or your account is closed. Matuvu does not use your content for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose.

You warrant that you have the right to upload the content and that it does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

4. Account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for any reason, including violations of these terms of service. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

5. Limitation of liability

Matuvu is not liable for any damages, losses, or issues that may arise while using the app, website, or services. This includes, but is not limited to, issues arising from user interactions, data loss, or app malfunctions.

6. Changes to terms

We may update these terms of service at any time. In case of significant changes, we will notify users via the app or by email. We recommend reviewing this page periodically for any changes.

7. Governing language and applicable law

In case of inconsistencies or differences in interpretation between translations of these terms of service, the English version shall prevail.

These terms of service are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any dispute arising from the use of our services shall be resolved in accordance with the applicable regulations of the European Union.
